This Privacy Policy explains how the Universal TV Remote mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The App has no user accounts, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party analytics or tracking services. We do not have any servers that receive your data.

2. Information stored on your device

To function, the App stores the following locally on your device only (using your device's standard local storage). This information never leaves your device:

• The IP addresses, names, and brands of TVs you connect to.
• Pairing credentials returned by your TV (for example a Samsung token or an LG client-key) so you don't have to re-approve pairing every time.
• A locally generated certificate used to pair with Android TV / Google TV devices.
• Your list of recently used TVs.

You can erase all of this at any time by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App.

3. Local network access

The App communicates only over your local Wi-Fi network to discover and control your TVs (using standard protocols such as SSDP, Roku ECP, Samsung/LG WebSocket, Android TV Remote, Hisense MQTT, and DLNA/UPnP). These communications happen directly between your phone and your TV. No data is sent to us or to any external server.

4. Permissions

• Network / Wi-Fi state & Internet: required to find TVs on your local network and send remote commands to them.
• Multicast: required for automatic TV discovery (SSDP).

The App does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or files.

5. Children's privacy

The App is safe for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
